JUN 3, 2014 ROTARY IN REVIEW:
Oh, what a glorious day
The weather could not have been more perfect for our 2014 Fellowship Day at the White Bear Yacht Club. Members met for lunch in the Commodore’s room overlooking the lake. Following lunch some went back to work while others went off to enjoy the beautiful day.
Chuck Whitaker, Bill Kansas, John Chandler and Jay Pfaender played tennis. John Chandler and Chuck Whitaker were the winners there.
Kathy Warren, Yvonne Ekdahl, Francis Luikart and Dennis Boom played bridge, with Laurie Murphy observing. Francis Luikart and Kathy Warren won.
Chuck Roach, Donovan Schwichtenberg, Larry Morgan and Katie Grace rode their bikes around White Bear Lake and enjoyed viewing some of the historical properties.
Chuck Whitaker took a few out for a ride on his new pontoon.
There were 24 golfers. Some played scramble and others played medalist. The scramble team of Bill Collins, Marc Hadley, Doug Hartford and Dick Warren took home the award.
Bill Nielsen was the proud winner of the golf trophy.
Dinner at the golf house topped off this enjoyable event.
