President Dave Dominick opened the meeting by welcoming all Rotarians, on ZOOM and present Live. Jonah Yang and Heidi Fisher greeted members to our meeting. Dr. Ellen Kennedy greeted On-Line attendees. David Wolfgram, Ken Crabb, Matt Magers, Al Zdrazil, handled all technology for ZOOM viewing. Doug Hartford delivered a clear Inspirational Minute without any notes, and lead the Four-Way Test.
Immediate Past President Todd Nicholson assisted by introducing visiting Rotarians, Guests / and Happy Dollars. Special visitor, Saint Paul Police Deputy Chief, Julie Maidment. Julie shared her important role for the City & Saint Paul Police. Board member & Program Chair, Ken Schaefer introduced the program speaker Anil Scrivatsa. His Rotary – Mission: Gift of Life Adventures Foundation Inc. Serving Humanity, Saving Lives. For the past six (6) years ever since Anil Scrivatsa donated his Kidney to his neurosurgeon brother. It has become his mission to spread awareness about organ donation. Anil is driving a van with message on the van to spread the word. Our club was stop #21 of #100 stops to Rotary clubs. Next stop is in Michigan and continuing to South America and on to Australia later this year. Past President Todd Nicholson fielded questions for Anil Srivatsa.
President Dave Dominick welcomed Youth Exchange Outbound student, Karina Bary. introduced her program and her parents. Karina is an exchange student this year heading to Sweden for a year. She plans to continue her studies attending Reed College in Portland, Oregon after a year in Sweden. Ruth Petermann introduced Habitat Project for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. This project would be for women only. President Dave Dominick added to the program by sharing July Board Meeting Highlights: * New Club Secretary – Shelly Rucks * Club Visionary Launch – Heidi Fisher, President Elect: Team Lead * Retreat – committed goals and club goals setting for 2022-2023. * 2022-2023 Club Budget approved.
