Please join us at the Intercontinental Hotel in Saint Paul on November 26th as we hear from Dr. Abul Sharah, the founder of International Village Clinic.

The project in India was launched in February 2002 to provide curative and preventative healthcare in the poor villages of northeastern India. In the first year there, Abul's team served about 10,000 people. Now they are serving approximately quarter of a million people per year.

A preventative healthcare program in Guatemala on the pattern of the India program was launched in March 2024. The hope is to expand this program in the coming years.

Dr. Abul Sharah is the founder of International Village Clinic. Dr. Sharah had his undergraduate education in India, earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan and a Ph.D. in engineering physics from Carleton University in Canada. Dr. Sharah immigrated to the United States in 1972, where he had a 27-year professional career in executive and management positions at companies including Honeywell, Inc., MTS Systems Corporation and Tectonics Research. Dr. Sharah took an early retirement in 1999 to establish International Village Clinic (IVC). He launched a healthcare program in the poor villages of northeastern India in 2002. IVC is providing curative and prevention healthcare services to approximately ¼ million people per year in India. IVC started an English medium school in village Marufpur in 2018. Abul spends 3 to 6 months every year on the project site in India pursuing his mission of love and service to the less fortunate in the impoverished villages of rural India.
