All about Clyde:
- I am a St. Paul "kid" having been raised in the Midway area, attended Hancock(now Hamline) grade school and Wilson High school, graduating in 1956.
- in 1956, my senior year, I was privileged to be a delegate to the St. Paul Rotary Young Men's Conference (a predecessor to Camp RYLA)
- I went on to the U. of MN and graduated in 1961 with a degree in accounting. During that time I played on the baseball team and in 1960 we were the NCAA national champions by winning the College World Series held in Omaha, NE.
   - upon graduation I was hired by the downtown St. Paul accounting firm of Taylor, McCaskill, CPA's.
   - after 4 years, passing a 2 1/2 day exam and meeting other qualifications, I became a Certified Public Accountant
   -  about the same time in 1965 I accepted an offer from Ken Rothchild to be CFO for H. & Val J. Rothschild, a real estate, mortgage and property management firm.
   - in November, 1969  Ken Rothchild asked me to represent the firm as a  member of St. Paul Rotary with the classification "mortgage loans";  56 years later I continue to be a member
   - I regularly attended meetings and was an active member until the Covid pandemic in 2021(?);
   - since then I changed my member classification and now rarely attend meetings
