5:01 Meeting March 18: NYE Service Project Update

Please join us at the Pool and Yacht Club on March 18th at 5:01 pm as we hear an update on the service project our club completed on New Year's Eve.  We will be hearing from Joy McElroy and Monica Jones about the impact of our project on unhoused youth in the area.

In December, our Rotary Club engaged in a service project, putting together hygiene kits for youth experiencing homelessness right here in the Twin Cities. These kits were provided to The StreetWorks Collaborative, a part of Metro Homeless Youth Services within Lutheran Social Service. We’ll hear more about street outreach, emergency shelters, housing and many services provided to youth to support their individual journeys. Monica Jones, Sr. Program Manager of LifeHaven home for teen moms, and Joy McElroy with Cherish All Children, will share their experience working with youth and the impact of honoring and respecting youth as we walk alongside them.
