1. Initial Program Goals
Provide a truck to support mobile Packing operations
-Involve 100,000 youth in meaningful service activities over 5 years
- Pack 30 million meals over 5 years
Conduct five annual St Paul Rotary meal packing events (2010-2014)
- Involve a majority of Club 10 members in a hands-on service project
- Provide ½ million meals for starving children around the world
Involve other Rotary Clubs
- Have clubs sponsor events in their local communities
- Have members from other clubs participate in our packing events
2. The Rotary Truck - a.k.a. “Fancy Nancy”
A used 53-foot semi-trailer was purchased, refurbished, decorated with FMSC and St Paul Rotary graphics and went into operation in November of 2009

3. St Paul Rotary Packing Events
The club has now conducted two of its planned annual packing events. Aided by a challenge grant from the Katherine B Andersen Foundation, nearly all of the funding needed to support the five-year program has been committed. More than 90 members of St. Paul Rotary have participated in these events.

4. Involvement of other Rotary Clubs in Dist 5960
- A number of clubs have been encouraged to conduct packing events in their own communities. The Rice Lake (WI) Club sponsored its first event in Fall 2010 and a second is planned for Fall 2011. The Winona Rotary Club sponsored its first packing event in May 2011. Discussions have also been held with several other clubs about hosting events.
- Representatives from a number of Rotary groups have participated in the two St. Paul Rotary sponsored events. Rotary Clubs and groups represented have included:

- District 5960 has provided a $3,000 grant to support the 2012 packing event scheduled for April 27-28 at Summit Brewery.
